The National Standard for Transparency

The Animal Rescue Transparency Initiative (ARTI) serves as the critical trust layer for animal welfare across the United States. We provide a standardized system of accountability that empowers donors to contribute with confidence and enables adopters to identify rescues operating with the highest levels of integrity. Our mission is to transform the rescue landscape through radical transparency.

Operational Scope and Governance

ARTI does not regulate or govern rescues. We are a voluntary verification and trust standard, not a legislative or law enforcement body. Our role is strictly limited to evaluating and verifying the transparency of participating organizations through structured reviews of documentation and volunteer validation.

Listings are based on publicly available information and voluntary participation. Verification levels reflect participation in ARTI’s transparency process and should not be interpreted as a legal endorsement or regulatory certification of animal care practices beyond documented standards.
